Is Synaptril FDA Approved?
Synaptril is not FDA approved, and neither is any other dietary supplement. FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold. The asterisk statement on the label says the claims have not been evaluated. A badge saying FDA registered or GMP is a brand claim, not an approval.

Why is Synaptril not FDA approved?
Synaptril is not FDA approved because FDA has no authority to approve dietary supplements before they are marketed (FDA, Questions and Answers on Dietary Supplements). Approval is a step for drugs.
For supplements, the maker is responsible for safety and for backing its claims with evidence (FDA, Questions and Answers on Dietary Supplements). FDA acts after a product is on sale. A seller who says a supplement is approved is using the word wrongly.
That is why we never write that the capsule is approved, cleared or endorsed. It is a dietary supplement, as the front of the bottle says.
What does the asterisk statement on the label mean?
The asterisk statement means FDA has not evaluated the claim. It reads: "*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease."
Each of the three front claims carries the asterisk. Such claims must carry that disclaimer by law (FDA, Questions and Answers on Dietary Supplements). It is a legal notice, not a seal of quality.

What do FDA registered and GMP badges tell you?
They tell you only that the brand displays them. Neither badge is an approval of the product.
| Term | What it does not mean |
|---|---|
| FDA approval | Not available to supplements |
| FDA registered facility | Registration is not approval; the label prints no facility statement |
| GMP certified | The label names no factory, certifier or audit date |
| Made in the USA | The label itself names no country of manufacture |
We list the ten brand badges, with notes, in testing and quality.

See packsWhat does the law require on a supplement label?
The law requires a supplement label to carry a Supplement Facts panel, and a proprietary blend may list only its total weight (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts).
That is why Synaptril prints 575 mg for the blend and an ordered ingredient list without single amounts. Magnesium has a Daily Value, so its 80 mg must still be declared (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts). Legal is not the same as proven.
FDA does act on claims once a product is on sale. In February 2019 it sent 12 warning letters and 5 online advisory letters to firms selling products that claimed to prevent, treat or cure Alzheimer's disease (FDA, Alzheimer's claims warning letters 2019). Synaptril's label makes no disease claim. Its three claims concern brain support, memory and focus, and mental energy.
What can you check for yourself?
You can check the label, the claims and the seller. The ingredient list is complete, but five of six amounts are hidden in the blend (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts).
Our is Synaptril legit page weighs the evidence, and the supplement facts page types out the panel. If you have a problem, report it to FDA (FDA, How to Report a Problem). Keep taking prescribed medicine, and ask a doctor about interactions.

FAQ01
Synaptril questions people ask
Does the FDA evaluate Synaptril before it is sold?
No. FDA does not review supplements for safety or effectiveness before they are sold (NCCIH, Using Dietary Supplements Wisely). The company is responsible for safety and for its claims.
Does an FDA registered facility make Synaptril safe?
Not by itself. Registration is not approval, and the label prints no facility statement. The badge is a brand claim, so judge the product by its label and your doctor.
Who regulates Synaptril if FDA does not approve it?
FDA regulates supplements as food after sale, and the FTC polices advertising claims (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance). Health claims need competent and reliable scientific evidence.
Why does the Synaptril label list a blend total but not each amount?
A proprietary blend may declare only its total weight, with ingredients listed by weight from most to least (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts). That is why 575 mg is printed and five single amounts are not.
